Humans of Zambia: Pictures of a Zambian experience

With six awards to his name, Cornelius Chellah Mulenga Tukuta is determined to make photography his career and income earner.

While others choose to sit behind desks to earn their bread and butter, Mr Tukuta moves from place to place identifying striking images that ‘tell good stories'.

In 20017, he scooped the African photographer of the year  Lens awards held in Lagos, Nigeria.

He prides himself first Zambian photographer to feature in Forbes Africa, Vogue Magazine, and Essays of Africa magazine, CNN, Aljazeera, and BBC.

Despite the notion that photography cannot make a career, Mr Tukuta says there’s potential for the industry if photographers stop feeling jealous of each other’s successes.
